The Two Wallet Trick:
One kept in an inside secure pocket and
another "ratty" one (that
you don't mind losing) in an outside pocket. Keep all your most important
valuables, passport, travel
documents and credit cards/cash in a money belt or pouch, all located under your
clothing or in a secure
inside pocket. In the giveaway wallet carry a small amount of cash, so if it is
taken it is not a great
loss. It is easier in cold climates, where you can wear coats and jackets with
inside zippered pockets.
People usually ask me, what I do when I need to access more cash or a credit
card. I have never been in
a situation where I could not either find a place to discreetly get to my money
belt, or at the very
least grab my primary credit card from an inside secure pocket. Taking the time
to plan for securing
your valuables will pay off. |
